Last week, the Joe Biden Administration’s Federal Communications Commission (FCC) did this….
FCC Adopts Rules to Eliminate ‘Digital Discrimination’ for Communities with Poor internet Access:
“The Federal Communications Commission has enacted new rules intended to eliminate discrimination in access to internet services, a move which regulators are calling the first major U.S. digital civil rights policy.
“The rules package, which the commission ratified on Wednesday, would empower the agency to review and investigate instances of discrimination by broadband providers to different communities based on income, race, ethnicity and other protected classes.
“The order also provides a framework for the FCC to crack down a range of digital inequities including the disparities in the investment of services for different neighborhoods, as well as the “digital divide,” a term experts use to describe the complete lack of internet access many communities experience due to regional or socioeconomic inequality.”
There is so much wrongness packed into those three paragraphs. Because there is so much wrongness packed into the FCC’s HUGE power grab.
To begin: There hasn’t been a US “digital divide” – for nearly a decade.
Because everyone in the US has had access to the Internet – for nearly a decade.

You can’t be racist in who has Internet access – when everyone has Internet access.
This massive power grab – was telegraphed by the FCC’s “Working Groups of the Communications Equity and Diversity Council.”
In a document they submitted – and the FCC then adopted on November 7, 2022….
Recommendations and Best Practices to Prevent Digital Discrimination and Promote Digital Equity:
“The Digital Empowerment and Inclusion, Innovation and Access, and Diversity and Equity Working Groups would like to extend their sincere appreciation to all of the interviewees that agreed to meet with the respective working groups to examine issues of broadband deployment, entrepreneurship, education, housing, economics, and diversity and equity.”
These FCC “working groups” are pushing the same ideas – the FCC has been pushing for way more than a decade.
Going back to when the FCC was pushing them upon the radio.
If all of this FCC “equity” power grabbing sounds familiar – it’s only because it should.
Behold who is perhaps the FCC’s godfather of this nonsense – Mark Lloyd.
I believe I was the first person to publicly notice the FCC hiring the guy. This from August 2009….
“The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has announced a new ‘Chief Diversity Officer’ – communications attorney Mark Lloyd.
“But Doctor of Jurisprudence Lloyd is far more than merely a communications attorney. He was at one time a Senior Fellow at the uber-liberal Center for American Progress (CAP), for whom he co-wrote a June 2007 report entitled ‘The Structural Imbalance of Political Talk Radio.’
“Which rails against the fact that the American people overwhelmingly prefer to listen to conservative (and Christian) talk radio rather than the liberal alternative, and suggests ways the federal government can remedy this free-market created ‘problem.’”

“‘(T)here’s nothing more difficult than this. Because we have really, truly good white people in important positions.
“‘And the fact of the matter is that there are a limited number of those positions.
“‘And unless we are conscious of the need to have more people of color, gays, other people in those positions we will not change the problem.
“‘We’re in a position where you have to say who is going to step down so someone else can have power.’”
Amongst Lloyd’s many obnoxious creations – was a “diversity” mathematical equation. Which was designed – so that no one would ever be diverse enough.
Thereby “justifying” ever more government power grabs.
And ultimately eradicate private radio. Thereby leaving us only with government radio. NPR – uber alles.
Which I discussed with Glenn Beck on the Fox News Channel way back when…:
“(Lloyd’s) plan is to use the nebulous FCC regulations of ‘media diversity’ and ‘localism’ to travel alternate routes to arrive at the same destination as the Fairness Doctrine. Which is to shut you (Beck was also a radio host) up – by shutting you down.
“He wants to assault the radio industry – to effect an ideological outcome….
“He wants to charge you (for your license) dollar-for-dollar your 100% (radio station) operating budget….
“Then he wants to fine you if you’re not meeting his definition of ‘media diversity’ and ‘localism.’
“He’s actually come up with a ‘media diversity’ and ‘localism’ mathematical equation…. It’s four numerators over a denominator. All the numerators are multiplied by one another. So if you screw up any one of them? You get a zero – it’s all zeroed out and you fail and you get fined….
“Additionally, he’s got his ‘media diversity’ working against his ‘localism’ at times. If you hire three local reporters – but they’re all white guys? That’s a zero – and you’re all zeroed out and you’re fined.”
The ‘Fairness Doctrine’ – was government’s way to silence conservative and Christian talk radio.
Lloyd’s plans were designed to destroy private radio – and replace it in totality with government radio.
But way back when, I noted that most terrestrial radio – and almost all communication – was headed to the Internet. In July 2011 I wrote….
Forget the ‘Fairness’ Doctrine – Net Neutrality is the Future of Censorship:
“The Media Marxists – the folks who are working to have the government control all news, media and communications – know this. They have moved past the ‘Fairness Doctrine’ to other, bigger, newer forms of censorship.
“Mark Lloyd – a Hugo Chavez-loving Media Marxist whom the FCC hired as their inaugural ‘Chief Diversity Officer’ – wrote a piece called ‘Forget the Fairness Doctrine’ in which he details other ways to achieve the same silencing of the Right on the radio.
“But the Left is thinking long term – and that means Net Neutrality.
“The Godfather of the Media Marxist movement – Robert McChesney – describes Net Neutrality thusly:
“‘(T)he ultimate goal is to get rid of the media capitalists in the phone and cable companies and to divest them from control.’”
Get that? They want to use Net Neutrality to get rid of all private Internet providers. And have government seize the infrastructure – and run it.
Presto: Government-only Internet.
And what did the Biden FCC recently do…?

Meanwhile, Godfather Lloyd came up a way to use “diversity” – to double down on eradicating private radio.
And what did the Biden FCC just do?
Impose the Internet “digital discrimination” version of Lloyd’s scheme.
The FCC’s New Racial Broadband Rule
“In the name of ‘equity,’ Democratic Commissioners will make internet service worse.”
For these Democratic Commissioners, their FCC godfather Lloyd and the FCC’s Digital Empowerment and Inclusion, Innovation and Access, and Diversity and Equity Working Groups?
Worse Internet service is a feature – not a bug.
