For the Left, Success Isn’t Success. Government Expansion Is Success

Newspeak – aka Leftspeak

Even when government expansion leads to less success.  Which, of course, it always does.

For a society to function – the same language must be spoken by all of its members.

See: Babel, Tower of.

For a society to function – words in said language must be defined the same way by all its members.

See: Orwell, George:

“War is peace. Freedom is slavery.  Ignorance is strength.”

Our society simply can not continue to exist with this sort of nonsense occurring.

Of course the Left doesn’t want our society to continue to exist.

Which is precisely why the Left very much likes to pretend A – is actually Not A.  And demands you do the same.

Even though you know perfectly well that A is Not A.  Even though they know you know A is Not A.

Which Orwell described as Newspeak:

“Propagandistic language marked by…the inversion of customary meanings.”

The Left wants to pit your mind against itself:

“Doublethink means the power of holding two contradictory beliefs in one’s mind simultaneously, and accepting both of them.”

So as to ultimately destroy your mind – and remake it in their image:

“Power is in tearing human minds to pieces and putting them together again in new shapes of your own choosing.”

The Left needs to commandeer a LOT of power to do this:

“The Party seeks power entirely for its own sake. We are not interested in the good of others; we are interested solely in power, pure power.”

Which is why the Left’s objective isn’t success – it is government expansion.  More government – is more power for the Left:

“Power is not a means; it is an end. One does not establish a dictatorship in order to safeguard a revolution; one makes the revolution in order to establish the dictatorship. The object of persecution is persecution. The object of torture is torture. The object of power is power.”

We have eons’ worth of examples – of more government meaning less success.

So the Left plays Orwellian word games.

The Left’s Warped Definition of ‘Success’

“In the Bizarro-world that is Washington, D.C. – and the federal government in possession thereof – the word ‘success’ does not mean what it does here on Planet Earth.

“It in fact often means exactly the opposite….

“Social Security is on the verge of being trillions of dollars in debt….But you’d never know any of this from the way the D.C. denizens – and those of Huge Government mindset – describe these schemes.

Web search ‘Social Security success’ and you get myriad utterly delusional results, such as:

“You will note that here on Planet Earth, nothing that is a success requires saving.

“The likes of Microsoft and Apple do not need ‘rescuing.’”

You can’t say Orwell didn’t warn us.

“War is peace. Freedom is slavery.  Ignorance is strength.”

And: Failure – is “success.”

Which brings us to this over-the-Christmas-break inanity.

‘The Verge’ Names FCC’s Pai Top Flop of Decade:

“Cites his elimination of net neutrality rules.

“Tech news outlet, The Verge, has published what it calls ‘The 84 Biggest Flops, Fails and Dead Dreams of the Decade in Tech,’ and (Donald Trump Administration Federal Communications Commission) FCC chair Ajit Pai came in at number one….

“The Verge called net neutrality one of the great success stories of the decade that kept greedy monopolistic gatekeepers like Comcast and Verizon in check until Pai killed it.”

This is yet another quintessential example of the Left’s bastardization of the word “success.”

Net Neutrality – was not “one of the great success stories of the decade.”

The government expansion under the guise of Net Neutrality the Barack Obama Administration unilaterally imposed – which Pai rightly, reasonably undid – was in place…for only one year.  Of the ten years that make up a decade.  It was but a very bad blip on the radar.

The government expansion under the guise of Net Neutrality – did not keep “greedy monopolistic gatekeepers like Comcast and Verizon in check until Pai killed it.”

In part because it wasn’t in place long enough to do any such thing.

In part because “greedy monopolistic gatekeepers like Comcast and Verizon” – aren’t actually monopolistic.  Especially now with 5G wireless Internet a-coming.

Most of us already have wired, wireless and satellite providers all vying for our business.  The most rural of us – will very soon have plenty of choices too.

And these Internet providers – are in the customer service business.  If they don’t service us customers – they will very soon be out of business.

So the free market – successfully kept the Internet free and open.  Just as it has since the Internet’s inception.  No government expansion under the guise of Net Neutrality necessary.

To those of us who like the traditional use of words – the free market Internet is a demonstrable, inconceivably huge success.

The Left – does not like the traditional use of words.  Their warped definition of “success” – means government expansion.

So the free market Internet’s success – must not be allowed to be called a success.

The government’s mass expansion under the guise of Net Neutrality – must be redefined a success.

And Pai’s liberation of the Internet – must be redefined a failure.

A must be Not A.  War must be peace. Freedom must be slavery.  Ignorance must be strength.

The Left doesn’t want government expansion under the guise of Net Neutrality because it makes the Internet better.

Because it makes the Internet worse.

The Left wants government expansion under the guise of Net Neutrality – because it expands government.

Power isn’t the means – it is the end.
