The US has a Huge Economy benefit when it comes to all things trade.
With just about whomever we are negotiating – their access to our nation is far more important than ours is to theirs. So we have the perpetual opportunity to negotiate very favorable terms.
Communist China is the sole exception. And that’s only because we’ve spent several decades being exceedingly stupid in our dealings with them. We’ve paid them many trillions of dollars – to become our singular economic and geopolitical opponent. Really quite intelligent.
Speaking of exceedingly stupid and trade: The only way we can diminish our negotiating power – is to dilute it at the table by inviting more than one other nation to it.
As we’ve seen in every globalist organization ever formed since our nation was formed – other nations love to gang up against US.
Life – is high school. No one likes the starting quarterback – and the US is the planet’s starting quarterback. Actual high school rarely gives the chess and yearbook clubs the opportunity to exact their anger at the hand life dealt them on the QB. Globalist organizations do.
Joining these organizations is idiotic. Joining globalist, multi-nation trade deals – is just as idiotic. And we’ve been engaged in this idiocy – for a half-century-plus.
That is, until America First President Donald Trump began righting the ship.
Multilateral Trade Deals? Trump’s Just Not That Into Them:
“President Donald Trump has made clear he is not into multilateral trade negotiations. Take the Trans-Pacific Partnership. He withdrew the U.S. from that agreement, and he says he will conduct these kinds of talks one-on-one from now on, which is quite a change from the past.”
Ah yes – the TPP:

Get that? In two-nation trade deals – we can quickly and cleanly exit should a relationship stop being beneficial. We can’t do that when we’re enmeshed in a multi-nation spider web – Frodo-style.
So when countries go unilaterally crazy – like this….

Individual countries – engaged in two-nation trade deals – can cleanly and easily do this….

You can’t do that in a 12-nation trade web.
Know what else you can’t do? Impose tariffs – when tariffs are warranted.
Like, say, when China is using slave labor, coal-fired power plants and massive subsidies to make solar panels way more cheaply – and massively undercut US manufacturers.

Being free from idiotic multi-nation trade deals – allows US the opportunity to make these pro-US moves.
So let’s remain unencumbered – and thereby a far more powerful and prosperous nation.
