Government and its advocates – abound everywhere.
Government is an overtly, over-oppressive entity – nigh everywhere there is government.
[2017’s Hurricane Irma just forced me to build a new house – in allegedly less government Collier County, Florida. Believe me when I tell you – EVERY government employee is a potential tyrant. And most – are desirous to be one. Not just The Feds – EVERY bureaucrat…EVERYWHERE.]
Government’s advocates – exist both inside and outside government.
Of course people on the government payroll advocate for more government. It is job security – and expansion.
But there also exist outside of government – ideological lunatics also championing more government.
But what has the China Virus hiatus from Reality taught us?
All of these government advocates everywhere – are very, VERY wrong.
Prior to governments’ titanically stupid decision to murder our $22 trillion economy – in response to a new flu – our economy was roaring.
And we got there – thanks to President Donald Trump’s less government agenda.
Trump and Congressional Republicans passed the 2017 tax cuts. Tax cuts prevent the government from getting larger – by preventing government from stealing more from the private sector.
Trump has negotiated much more balanced global trade deals (with hopefully many more to come). A key component of all of them? Less government from other nations – product subsidies, tariffs, trade limits, etc. Which warp the global market – and are anything but free or fair trade.
And Trump has SLASHED regulations – which is the most direct path to less government there is. (God how I wish he had access to the Collier County homebuilding division.)
And then governments imposed the Virus lockdown.
And government advocates of all stripes – including government’s alleged “Experts” – haven’t exactly covered themselves in glory.

Trump responded to the lockdown’s massive increase in government – with as many less government infusions as he could muster.

And is now looking to make them permanent.

And has again broadened his deregulatory efforts.
Trump Signs Executive Order to Cut Regulations to Boost Economy:
“The president said his order would allow agencies to ‘remove burdens that destroy American jobs’ and help the economy recover from the coronavirus pandemic.”
Because Trump was apparently paying attention to the last three months – and the last three years.
Anyone with an IQ above 9 on a warm day has to have just witnessed in the China Virus debacle – a compressed, condensed, distilled example of:
Less government > more government.
Government advocates…have not made that observation. Or have – and have chosen to ignore it.
And why not? They’ve been for centuries ignoring 10,000 years of human history – all of which demonstrates less government > more government.
The crucial China Virus private sector success story – has been the private sector Internet.
US governments forced 300+ million people – to do a whole lot more online than they ever have before.

That week, much-more-government Europe ran into a huge Internet capacity problem – where we did not.
China Virus Lockdown Proves US Internet is Better, Stronger and Faster Than Europe’s:

Get that? To stay functional, Europe’s Internet had to reduce capacity – by about 25%.
The US’s Internet – required no such actions. Of ANY reductive size.

This delusional email – accompanies a slate of delusional articles from around the Web.
All of which are much more easily accessed and read – if you are in the Net Neutrality-free US. Not so much if you’re in Net Neutrality-infested Europe.
If Net Neutrality Still Existed, Here’s How Coronavirus Could Have Played Out:
“Experts say the FCC’s net neutrality repeal has hindered what they can do during the coronavirus pandemic.”
Ahh yes…the “Experts.” The China Virus debacle has also proven beyond the shadow of any doubt that the world’s alleged “Experts”…aren’t. And I’m sure you’ve noticed that most of the world’s alleged “Experts” – are government advocates.
The Covid-19 Pandemic Shows the Virtues of Net Neutrality
Ummm…no, it does no such thing. It proves Net Neutrality is at best irrelevant. And at worst – and most likely – damaging to our online efforts.
Given we don’t have it – and Europe does. And we have handled the increased Internet load – and Europe has not.
Of course, the government’s advocates who say we need Net Neutrality to save the Internet from the China Virus? Said the Internet would no longer be here – when Trump three years ago undid Net Neutrality.
Get that?
The same people now in the age of COVID insisting we need Net Neutrality to save the Internet – despite the fact we are proving every second of every day we do not?
They were three years ago saying there would no longer be an Internet – because Trump was deregulating the Internet with Net Neutrality’s rollback.

Government’s advocates were wrong then.
They are wrong now.
There are a lot of new phrases – birthed in the Age of COVID – I now loathe.
One of them – is “The New Normal.”
But I will willingly – if not eagerly – use it.
If “The New Normal” – is less government.
Because that is precisely what the Age of COVID has taught us:
Less government > more government.
